Animals teach us many things. They teach us to listen, to live in the moment, to forgive and be joyful. They are part of our families; they are our confidantes and comforters. We can give back to them by practicing Reiki with our animals to deepen our bond, understanding, and trust between us.

What can Reiki do for your animal companions? Just as in humans, Reiki can help maintain their health physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is a powerful tool for emotional healing for animals with trauma, abuse, neglect, fear, trust issues, or depression (after a loss or move). For high-strung or nervous animals, Reiki induces deep relaxation and stress-reduction and over time, can reduce the tendency toward nervousness. Reiki can accelerate healing after surgery or illness. It is a complementary therapy that can enhance both conventional and alternative therapies and lessen side effects. For dying animals and their humans, Reiki provides compassionate support to make the transition more peaceful.

Who can benefit from learning Animal Reiki? For pet parents, Reiki is a wonderful gift to offer your pet companions. Reiki is also an invaluable skill for people who work professionally with animals (dog groomers, dog trainers, animal communicators, veterinarians, vet technicians, animal acupressure and massage therapists, rescue or shelter and sanctuary staff and volunteers) as an additional supplementary service they offer to animals.
